User Vision's Mark Palmer will present his thoughts on HTML5 and it's potential impact on accessibility.
This will be a high level introduction to the issues and will cover the following:-
- Introduction - What is HTML5. How we came to have HTML5 and not XHTML2 on the horizon.
- HTML 5 - Hero or Villain. HTML5 has split the accessibility community. Mark will look at plus and minus points of the specification as it currently stands.
- Benefits of HTML5 - How will HTML5 aid accessibility.
- Concerns about HTML5 - What are the potential negative impacts on accessibility.
